Well we've been open for a while now & already had our first Art Show. It was a great success & I can't wait to have more! We've got more cleaning up in the back half of the bottom floor that we should be finished with soon & then we can start on the top floor, again. Our goal is to remodel the small bathroom that is already upstairs, so that we can go ahead and move in! So in about 6 months, we should be living Downtown!!

  • I have even check the htm codes for each picture and a picture that wont enlarge looks exactly like a picture that will enlarge...except for the name of the picture of course....

  • I have no idea why those photos won't enlarge for you. But I really like your new profile photo! Welcome to the world of Beta ... or something. :)

  • Another ship jumper jeeesh!!!

As for the pix when you upload don't move them by dragging it loses the href tag thus it won't enlarge! Copy and paste them in the html section and they keep the href and will still enlarge. Me smart :0(

  • Kid... I have no clue because all I do is download them & there they are. If I don't know what I am doing to make mine enlarge, it can't be too difficult. Question tho, do you change the size of your pics before you put them on the blog??? I do & that is really the ONLY thing I do different. Oh well... good luck on the new blogger version. Mine ain't broke...

  • Me not so clever I've just looked at all your html on your page and the pix. Instead of the herf tag beta seems to use the src tag.

If as you say all the html looks just the same the only thing i can think on is are you changing the size of the pic in anyway that could stop it enlarging. If the code governing the size is to big the page/browser? has trouble reading it. That was the problem with my audio the height was to big. But this is all just a stab in the dark on my part I'm probably talking crap.

  • Well I give up on trying to fix the pictures I've already got up...I'll just play with new ones. I've gotten it now where it will open the picture when you click on it BUT it doesn't enlarge...its still small. I did resize the picture but I resized it to 640x480 so they should still be big!

  • When you add your pictures does blogger add them at the top and you have to click and drag them to the area of text you want?? I just posted a picture (deleted it) and I didn't publish it different and it clicked and enlarged! The only thing I did do different was I didn't drag it from the start of a paragraph to the end...............

  • Sorry to be a pest but I have checked out the pic enlargement some more. I was correct the first time .

Once you have uploaded the pic it does load at the top and if you move the pic by clicking and dragging especially dragging it over some text that you have typed in it will no longer enlarge but with beta the html code still looks the same it does not change. On old blogger the code changed. That's why the code still looks the same even although it will no longer enlarge.

The solution is the same in old and new blogger. If you need to move the pic somewhere on the post click on to the html tab at the top and move the pic by copying and pasting all the html code for the pic and it will still enlarge. Me smart I hope.

  • Sorry I posted that before I read you wee bit. I do not think you can fix the old pix you will have to upload them again.

  • You're not being a pest!! I need help :D

I think that is what my problem has been then...I've been breaking it when I drag!!

Thanks for your help Mirk!! We'll see if it works tonight :)

  • Hey Kari,

To me, Beta offers a couple nice features...labels, drag-and-drop content ordering...um, I think that's it :) In the end, I got sick of having login troubles with Beta and Typepad has some more features that I was interested in so we moved on over.

As for your pictures, the problem is that the target image itself is 320x240 ...I suspect this happened when you uploaded it to Blogger the first time, not sure if you've had this problem in the past.

To solve it, I would suggest hosting your larger image somewhere for free, either your www2 folder or a site like photobucket which is what I use. Then point the link to that file and you should be set!
