Well we've been open for a while now & already had our first Art Show. It was a great success & I can't wait to have more! We've got more cleaning up in the back half of the bottom floor that we should be finished with soon & then we can start on the top floor, again. Our goal is to remodel the small bathroom that is already upstairs, so that we can go ahead and move in! So in about 6 months, we should be living Downtown!!

Waiting for Christmas

Well finally here it is! 4 days...13 strands of light...about 50 balls....4 poinsettias......12 snowflakes....and one tree skirt later our FIRST Christmas tree is up and decorated. We also got our first Christmas ornament. We don’t have a mantel yet...we still haven’t decided what we want to do around the fireplace, so I put our stockings on one of the columns that surround the study, guess the stocking holders will be in storage for next year. Finally found Wicket a stocking, we are getting his named stitched in like Mine and Joe's so I haven’t got to put it up yet. Best thing of all......I am DONE with my Christmas shopping. Yes you heard me....finished...complete...FINITO!! Wicket has even got presents for his friends J Now I just have to sit here and wait for Christmas!

  • I LOVE your tree, Kari. And Larr's so jealous of your stockings! He wanted us to get our name's stitched on our stockings, but I didn't think we'd have the time or the money. He's like a big kid! But that's what I love about him.:) Can't wait to celebrate with you guys!

  • Kari & Josiah, your tree is beautiful. Looks so much better then our tree did 57 years ago. Times have changed.
    Love you loads.
