Please support the PETS Act, H.R. 3858

Some of you probably got an email from me about PETS Act, H.R. 3858. What it is is an act that would require state and local authorities to include pets and service animals in their disaster evacuation plans. While people were being rescued from their homes after Katrina and Rita they were being told they could not bring their pets onto the boats with them. Some people were just leaving their pets behind to fend for themselves, and more than likely die, while others would not leave until their pets were resuced also. Any one who knows me knows how much I love animals and I just wanted to get this out there and ask for any of yall who will to please go to the HSUS web site and send a letter to your congressperson asking them to support this act.
